"If you can't see anything beautiful about yourself, get a better mirror, look a little closer, stare a little longer, because there's something inside of you that made you keep trying despite everyone who told you to quit. You built a cast around your broken heart and signed it yourself. You signed it, "they were wrong" because maybe you didn't belong to a group or a clique, maybe they decided to pick you last for basketball or everything, maybe you used to bring bruises and broken teeth to show and tell but never told because how can you hold your ground if everyone around you wants to bury you beneath it. You have to believe that they were wrong. They have to be wrong. Why else would we still be here?"
I don't know if I should be happy about this or not. I mean, at least, high school will soon be over. Don't get me wrong, I loved the past three years of my high school life. It just gets tiring sometimes. But on the other hand, after high school comes college and I don't think I'm ready for what comes after college. It's scary when you think about that.
So I was watching some YouTube videos and I came across a number of slams that inspired me so much to the point that I was in tears watching these videos.
I know that it's a bit cumbersome to watch all these videos, but please please please do. It's going to be worth it.
